Scientific and Ethical Expectations

Manuscripts are expected to define the research question clearly, justify the selected methodology, analyse findings using appropriate methods and discuss results within the context of existing scientific knowledge.

Studies involving human participants, personal health data, clinical procedures or other activities requiring ethical oversight should provide appropriate ethics approval, informed consent and relevant permissions.

Where appropriate, authors are encouraged to follow internationally recognized reporting guidelines such as CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE, COREQ, ARRIVE or other standards relevant to the field.
