Health and Life Sciences constitute one of the principal fields within the scope of SAER Journal. The journal considers original, methodologically rigorous and ethically conducted scholarly research relating to human health, healthcare, life sciences and associated disciplines.

Health and Life Sciences encompass a broad spectrum of research addressing human health, biological processes, healthcare systems and population health. The fields below represent major areas of interest and are not intended to constitute a restrictive list.

Medicine, clinical sciences, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, care and health outcomes.

Biomedical sciences, molecular and cellular processes, biotechnology and the biological foundations of life.

Health systems, service delivery, health management, health policy and quality of healthcare.

Public health, epidemiology, preventive health, quality of life and the social determinants of health.
SAER Journal is not limited to a particular disease, patient group or research problem.
Different methodological approaches may be considered when they are appropriate to the research question and established standards of the relevant discipline.
SAER Journal welcomes interdisciplinary research that extends beyond exclusively clinical or biological perspectives. Studies at the intersections of health sciences with social sciences, engineering, technology, education, economics, environmental studies and behavioural sciences are within the journal's scope.
Examples include digital health and artificial intelligence, health and social services, environment and human health, health education, health economics, health communication, disability and technology, and ageing and social policy.
Manuscripts are expected to define the research question clearly, justify the selected methodology, analyse findings using appropriate methods and discuss results within the context of existing scientific knowledge.
Studies involving human participants, personal health data, clinical procedures or other activities requiring ethical oversight should provide appropriate ethics approval, informed consent and relevant permissions.
Where appropriate, authors are encouraged to follow internationally recognized reporting guidelines such as CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE, COREQ, ARRIVE or other standards relevant to the field.
Falling within Health and Life Sciences does not in itself guarantee external peer review or publication. Submissions are also assessed editorially for originality, scientific quality, methodological adequacy, ethical compliance and potential scholarly contribution.
