Society and Social Structure
Sociology, social work, social policy, social structure and social change.
Social Sciences and Humanities constitute one of the principal fields within the scope of SAER Journal. The journal considers original, theoretical or applied, methodologically rigorous and ethically conducted research on individuals, societies, institutions, policies, culture and human behaviour.

Social Sciences and Humanities include original research across the disciplines listed below and related fields. The list is indicative rather than restrictive.

Sociology, social work, social policy, social structure and social change.

Psychology, behavioural sciences, decision-making and psychosocial research.

Business, economics, public administration, organizations, leadership and management research.

Law, political science, international relations, communication and public sphere research.
SAER Journal is not limited to a single topic, approach or subdiscipline within Social Sciences and Humanities.
Different methodological approaches may be considered when they are appropriate to the research question and established standards of the relevant discipline.
SAER Journal welcomes interdisciplinary work connecting Social Sciences and Humanities with other fields of scholarship. Research integrating theories, methods or data sources from multiple disciplines is within the journal's scope.
Relevant intersections include health and social services, artificial intelligence and society, education and social policy, environment and behaviour, economics and health, and digitalization and social change.
Manuscripts are expected to define the research question clearly, justify the selected methodology, analyse findings using appropriate methods and discuss results within the context of existing scholarship.
Where research involves human participants, personal data or other activities requiring ethical oversight, appropriate ethics approval, informed consent and relevant permissions should be provided according to the nature of the study.
Where appropriate, authors are encouraged to follow relevant international reporting standards and discipline-specific scholarly guidelines.
Falling within Social Sciences and Humanities does not in itself guarantee external peer review or publication. Submissions are also assessed editorially for originality, scientific quality, methodological adequacy, ethical compliance and potential scholarly contribution.
